In addition, metabolism of carbohydrates, fat, and proteins to form red blood cells relies on zinc for proper function.* Long-term supplementation of high doses of zinc can result in copper deficiency, which is why a small dose of copper is included in Zinc SAP to prevent potential deficiency.
